Frequently Asked Questions

B2B Wholesale FAQ

The questions we hear most from retailers, refurbishers, exporters and enterprises — pricing and minimum order quantity, grading terminology, shipping, international customs documentation, payment terms, warranty/RMA and IMEI/activation-lock policy — answered in one place.

Each answer links to the full page on that topic, so you can go deeper without re-reading what you already know.

Pricing & Minimum Order Quantity

What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ) for wholesale iPhone orders?

Our minimum order quantity is 10 units per order. Most B2B buyers order considerably more once a first lot confirms quality — see our bulk buying guide for typical first-order sizes and how the ordering process works.

How is pricing determined?

Pricing is quote-based and moves weekly with the market, depending on model, grade, storage and quantity. Request a stock list for exact per-unit pricing — see any model page for current specs and model-specific FAQ.

Do you offer better pricing for larger volumes?

Yes — per-unit pricing improves with volume. Tell us your target model, grade mix and quantity for a tailored quote, usually returned within one business day.

Can I move from one-off orders to a recurring allocation as my volume grows?

Yes. For refurbishers and retailers who outgrow one-off pallets, we build recurring weekly or monthly allocations matched to your throughput and model mix, and give repeat customers direct access to our live stock list for faster reordering.

Grading & Condition

What do Grade A, A/B and B/C mean?

TR Vertriebs GmbH grades every device on a three-tier scale — Grade A (pristine condition, only minor blemishes, battery health above 80%), Grade A/B (premium condition, the most-ordered wholesale mix), and Grade B/C (economy condition, clearly used but functionally sound). See the full grading system for the complete criteria.

Is battery health guaranteed?

Yes — battery health is guaranteed above 80% on every grade, stated per lot, and per-IMEI battery reports are available on request. See our battery health guide for the thresholds that matter commercially.

What does the 52-step grading test actually check?

Every device passes a 52-step functional and cosmetic diagnostic using industry tools — NSYS, PhoneCheck and Blancco — covering hardware functions and cosmetics, plus a certified ISO data wipe, before a manual human QC pass catches what the software misses. Each unit ships with an individual test report. See the full quality management process for all four stages.

What happens if a unit doesn't match its stated grade on arrival?

That is a misgrade, and it is covered by our RMA process: report it with photos and IMEIs within 3 days of receiving the goods. Functional defects are covered by the full 30-day warranty that comes with every unit.

Which iPhone generation is the best pick for high-volume wholesale resale?

The iPhone 13 currently combines the strongest documented battery baseline in the volume segment (82–95%) with continued iOS support and the highest turnover of any model in our stock. See our generation comparison guide and the iPhone 13 page for details.

From which iPhone generation are US-market units eSIM-only?

The cut is the iPhone 14 generation: from there on, US-market units ship eSIM-only without a physical SIM tray, while EU-spec units keep the nano-SIM slot. See our generation comparison guide for the full generation-by-generation breakdown.

"Used" vs. "Refurbished"

Is there a difference between "used" and "refurbished" in your stock?

We trade graded used stock as our standard; any refurbished units are declared as such. See Used vs. Refurbished for the full distinction.

If a device isn't labeled "refurbished," does that mean it's lower quality?

No — the label describes the process a device went through, not its quality. A high-grade used device with original parts often outperforms a cheaply refurbished one with third-party components, since iOS flags non-genuine parts and that hurts resale value. What matters is the grade and whether the process behind it is documented — see our Used vs. Refurbished guide.

Data Security & Device Wiping

How is personal data removed from devices before they reach me?

Every device is data-wiped and cleaned as the first stage of our four-stage QM pipeline, before any diagnostic or grading step, using the same certified toolset — including Blancco — as our 52-step diagnostic. See our data wiping & GDPR guide for how the process works.

Can I get proof that a device was securely wiped?

Every unit ships with an individual test report. For RMA-handled units, we additionally provide detailed repair reports and/or data-wiping certificates on request. See our data wiping & GDPR guide for exactly what documentation applies where.

Shipping: Germany, EU & Worldwide

Where do you ship from?

All stock ships from our warehouse in Horn-Bad Meinberg, Germany, with EU and worldwide export documentation included.

Do you ship outside the EU?

Yes, we ship worldwide with full customs and export documentation. See our process page for typical lead times — same-day dispatch on payment by 5 PM CET and next-business-day delivery within the EU, fully insured.

Which export markets do you serve, and is the grade mix adapted per destination?

We ship worldwide; current recurring lanes include West Africa, Eastern Europe, the Middle East and South Asia. Grade mixes are built for the destination rather than pushed from whatever is on hand — for example B/C-grade iPhone 11/12 volume for West African markets, A/B mixes on the 12–14 range for Eastern Europe, and high-grade Pro models for Gulf markets. See our exporters page for details.

What documentation comes with an export shipment?

A commercial invoice, a packing list with per-unit IMEIs, and export declarations are standard on every non-EU shipment. Where a destination requires additional certificates, we prepare them with you before the goods leave the warehouse.

International Shipping & Customs Documentation

Do you ship to markets outside the EU, and which ones?

Yes — worldwide. Current recurring export lanes include West Africa, Eastern Europe, the Middle East and South Asia, with grade and model mixes built for the destination rather than pushed from whatever is on hand. See our guide to international shipping & customs and our exporters page for details.

What customs documentation is included with an export shipment?

A commercial invoice, a packing list with per-unit IMEIs, and export declarations are standard on every non-EU shipment. Where a destination requires additional certificates, we prepare them with you before the goods leave the warehouse.

How long does delivery take for international orders?

Orders paid by 5 PM CET ship the same day; EU deliveries typically arrive the next business day, fully insured. For non-EU destinations, we choose air freight for speed or consolidated freight for cost depending on your priorities — see our international shipping guide for how this works.

How does payment work for international and export orders?

First transactions run on secured terms — prepayment against documents, escrow, or a small test order — rather than full prepayment to an unverified supplier. Established relationships move to standard trade terms.

Can the grade mix be tailored to my destination market?

Yes — grade and model mixes are configured per destination rather than pushed from whatever is on hand: for example B/C-grade iPhone 11/12 volume for West African markets, A/B mixes on the 12–14 range for Eastern Europe, and high-grade Pro models for Gulf markets. See our grading system for the full criteria.

Is there a dedicated program for exporters and trading companies?

Yes — see our page for exporters & traders for export-ready lot programs, documentation and destination-specific grade mixes.

Payment Terms & Methods

How do payment terms work for a first order?

First transactions run on secured terms — prepayment against documents, escrow, or a small test order — rather than full prepayment to an unverified supplier. This protects both sides while a trading relationship is still new.

Do established customers get different terms?

Yes — once a trading history is established, relationships typically move from secured first-order terms to standard trade terms. Recurring allocations for refurbishers and retailers are billed on the same basis.

What does the invoice state, and when do I see it?

Per-unit pricing by grade and storage size, together with the invoicing type, is stated per lot before you order, so your cost calculation is right before you commit, not after.

IMEI, Blacklist & Activation Lock

Are the devices IMEI-verified and free of blacklist entries?

Yes — every unit is checked against blacklist and activation-lock (FMI) databases before shipping. See our IMEI blacklist check guide for how this works.

What if a device has an iCloud activation lock?

Locked devices are excluded from graded stock entirely — activation-lock-free status (FMI off) is verified per IMEI before shipping. Read more in our iCloud activation lock guide.

Can I re-verify the IMEIs myself?

Yes — every shipment includes a packing list with per-unit IMEIs, and we encourage independent re-verification. Our own checking tool at imei-safe.de runs the same blacklist and activation-lock checks we use to verify every unit in our own intake.

Warranty, RMA & Returns

What does the RMA process cover?

Functional defects, DOA units and misgrades — every unit comes with a full 30-day warranty, so claims can be raised within 30 days of delivery. Warranty covers functional defects only — cracked screens, water damage or bent frames are void. Cosmetic-grading mismatches must be reported within 3 days of receiving the goods. See our RMA process for the full checklist.

How long does an RMA claim take?

Most valid claims are processed and approved within 7 business days of receipt. Where a repair or replacement is needed, full resolution is completed within 30 working days, with replacement units shipped back via DHL Express.

Who pays for return shipping?

You cover shipping the device to us; we cover return shipping back to you. Safe, insured packing is required on both legs.

What do I need to do to a device before sending it in for RMA?

Remove all personal data, iCloud/Find My iPhone, passcode and MDM before shipping — this is a strict requirement. Devices that arrive locked cannot be processed and are returned at the sender's expense; all incoming units are data-wiped immediately on arrival, so recovery afterward is not possible.

Getting Started: Quotes, Stock Lists & Ordering

How do I get a quote?

Tell us the model(s), target grade, quantity and destination — that's all we need to quote from live stock. You'll get per-unit pricing by grade and storage size, the battery policy and the invoicing type, usually within one business day. Use the contact form or message our sales team directly on WhatsApp.

How long is a quote valid, and how current is the stock list?

Stock rotates weekly and prices track the market, so treat a quote older than a few days as a starting point for a new conversation rather than a firm offer. Repeat customers get direct access to our live stock list.

Can I talk to a person instead of filling out a form?

Yes — our sales specialists are reachable directly via WhatsApp with a typical response time under 10 minutes, Monday–Saturday, 09:00–18:00 CET. General inquiries go to info@tr-vertrieb.de, RMA cases to RMA@tr-vertrieb.de.

Company & Trust

How long has TR Vertriebs GmbH been in business?

Since 2011 — over a decade specializing in graded used-device wholesale, with millions of units shipped and a 2,000 m² warehouse hub in Germany. See our company page for the full history.

Where are you located, and can I verify the company?

Our headquarters and warehouse are at Bahnhofstraße 70b, 32805 Horn-Bad Meinberg, Germany. Company details, management and our Google Business Profile are all listed on our company page.

Is there a real, verifiable customer rating?

Yes — our company page displays our Google Business Profile rating, fetched live directly from Google rather than a fixed number we control, together with a link to view it on Google yourself.

How can I reach you directly?

By phone/WhatsApp at +49 170 9400199, by email at info@tr-vertrieb.de (RMA@tr-vertrieb.de for returns), or via the process page for direct WhatsApp contacts to our sales team. Typical response time is under 10 minutes during business hours.
