How to Read a Wholesale iPhone Manifest Before You Buy

A manifest is the single document that decides whether a wholesale lot is worth its asking price — and the first thing a serious buyer should ask for, before any money changes hands.

This guide walks through what a complete manifest actually contains, which fields separate a transparent seller from a risky one, and how to turn manifest data into a purchase decision.

What belongs on a proper manifest

A usable manifest lists every unit in the lot individually, not as a rounded summary. That means one row per device: model, storage, color, grade, battery health percentage and IMEI.

Lots without a per-unit breakdown — just "X units, mixed grade" — put the buyer in the position of trusting an average that may hide a wide spread. A pallet advertised as "Grade A/B" can still contain units well below the stated floor if there is no per-IMEI list behind it.

  • Model, storage and color per unit
  • Grade per unit, not a lot-wide average
  • Battery health percentage per unit
  • IMEI per unit, checkable against blacklist and carrier-lock status

Grade mix: what a healthy lot looks like

Even within a single-grade order, real-world lots carry some natural spread — a handful of units testing marginally better or worse than the median is normal wear-based variance, not a red flag by itself.

What matters is whether the seller discloses the actual distribution rather than a single headline grade. A manifest that shows the grade breakdown line by line lets a buyer calculate refurbishment cost before the pallet arrives, not after.

Battery data: the number that moves your margin

At TR Vertriebs GmbH every unit we ship is guaranteed above 80% battery health, on every grade and every model in the current range — iPhone 11 through the current iPhone 17 Pro Max. That threshold is a baseline any wholesale manifest can be checked against.

Ask for the per-IMEI battery report before you commit, not after delivery. A seller who can produce it on request is signaling that the manifest reflects tested reality rather than a sales estimate.

Turning a manifest into a purchase decision

Cross-check three things before signing: does the grade distribution match what was quoted, does the battery data clear your resale threshold, and does the IMEI list check clean against blacklist status. Any one of these failing is a legitimate reason to renegotiate or walk away.

Our minimum order quantity is 10 units per lot, precisely so a buyer can request the full manifest and review it properly before scaling up to pallet volumes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Should I buy a wholesale lot without seeing the manifest first?

No. A manifest — or at minimum a representative sample with per-IMEI data — should be available before you commit to an order. If a seller cannot produce one, treat the quoted grade and battery figures as unverified.

What if the manifest shows units below the stated grade?

A small number of borderline units within a large mixed-grade lot is normal variance. A pattern of units meaningfully below the disclosed grade or battery threshold is a basis to renegotiate price or reject the lot.

Does TR Vertriebs GmbH provide manifests before purchase?

Yes — per-IMEI reports including grade and battery health are available on request before you place an order, starting at our minimum order quantity of 10 units.

How do I check IMEIs from a manifest against blacklist status?

Each IMEI on the manifest can be checked individually against blacklist, activation-lock and carrier-lock status before purchase — see our IMEI blacklist check guide for how the check works.
